CORYPHAEA, æ, Gr. ΚορυΦαία, ας, ein Beynamen der Diana, welche ihren Tempel auf einem hohen Hügel bey Epidaurus hatte, Pausan. Corinth. c. 28. p. 136. daher sie auch solche Benennung bekommen, weil κορυφὴ so viel, als eine dergleichen Höhe bedeutet. Gyrald. Synt. XII. p. 365.
