Croton

CROTON, ónis, einer in Italien, welchen Herkules, als er mit des Geryons Rindern dadurch trieb, unversehens ums Leben brachte, ihm daher auch ein besonderes Leichenbegängniß hielt, und den Einwohnern vorher sagte, daß von solchem Kroton eine berühmte Stadt dasiger Gegend den Namen bekommen werde.
