EVADNE, es, ( Tab. XI.) Neptuns Tochter, welche er mit der Lena, Hygin. Fab. 157. oder vielmehr der Pitane, zeugete. Schol. Pind. ap Muncker. ad Hyg. l. c. Ihr Pflegevater war Aevitus, Fürst in Arkadien, welcher sehr unwillig darüber wurde, daß sie sich vom Apollo verführen lassen und den Janus zur Welt brachte, jedoch solchen nachher sorgfältig erzog. Pind. Ol. VI. 50. sqq.
