Oenotropae

OENOTRŎPAE, árum, Gr. Ὀινοτρόπαι, ῶν, ( Tab. XIV.) sind die drey Töchter des Anius, Oeno, Elais und Spermo, welchen Bacchus die Macht gab, alles in Wein, Oel und Korn zu verwandeln, was sie wollten; daher sie auch von οἶνος, Wein, und τρέπω, ich verkehre, den Namen bekommen.
