POSTVERTA, æ, eine Schwester der Porrima, und Göttinn bey den Römern, welche die zukünftigen Dinge anzeigen sollte. Ovid. Fast. I. v. 636. Es wollen sie daher einige lieber Postventa nennen, wiewohl ohne Noth. Heins. ad eumd. l. c. Sie war aber auch eine Geburtsgöttinn, welche machen sollte, daß eine Geburt, welche verkehrt kam, glücklich abliefe, daher sie zu Rom mit der Porrima ihren besondern Altar hatte. Varro ap. Gell. l.
