AMÝCLA, æ, Gr. Ἀμύκλα, ης, (⇒ Tab. X. & ⇒ XXX.) des Amphions und der Niobe Tochter, die von ihrem Geschwister mit der Meliboea und dem Amphion, nach einigen, allein überblieb, da die übrigen insgesammt von dem Apollo und der Diana mit Pfeilen erschossen wurden. Apollod. lib. III. c. 5. §. 6. Sie soll aber mit ihrer Schwester noch das Leben erhalten haben, weil sie die Latona darum angeflehet hat; daher sie auch derselben nach der Zeit den ersten Tempel errichtet. Dagegen wollen andere; behaupten, daß keines in allen von des Amphions Kindern mit dem Leben davon gekommen sey. Pausan. l. II. c. 21.
