AMMAS, Gr. Ἀμμὰς, ein Beynamen der Rhea, Ceres und anderer, Hesych. in Ἀμμὰς, s. pag. 74. welcher sonst auch ἀμμὰ und ἀμμία ausgesprochen wird, und seinen Ursprung aus dem Ebräischen hat. Ios. Hill. ap. Schrevel ad Hesych. l. c.
