APHÉTOR, ŏris, Gr. Ἀφήτωρ, ορος, ein Beynamen des Apollo, welchen er von ἀφίημι, schicken, hat, und zwar entweder, weil er die Orakelsprüche, oder die Stralen, oder auch Pfeile abschickete. Gyrald. Synt. VII. p. 246.
