Troezen

TROEZEN, énis, Gr. Τροιζὴν, ῆνος, ( Tab. XXX.) des Pelops Sohn, welcher die Stadt Trözene anlegete, und seinem Bruder Pittheus hinterließ, der darinnen regierete. Strabo l. VIII. p. 374. Nach andern gab erst Pittheus der Stadt, die er aus den beyden Oertern Hyperea und Amphea zusammen gezogen hatte, seinem Bruder zum Andenken, dessen Namen. Seine beyden Söhne, Anaphiylus und Sphettus, sind Meergötter, und ließen sich in, Attika nieder. Pausan. Cor. c. 30. p. 142.
