ALCIMĔDE, es, Gr. Ἀλκιμέδη, ης, ( Tab. XXV.) war nach einigen des Phylar, Schol. Apollon. ad lib. I. v. 45. nach andern des Clymenus, Hygin. Fab. 14. und nach den dritten des Autolycus Tochter, Herodot. ap. Schol. Apollon. l. c. und Aesons Gemahlinn, mit welcher er den Jason zeugete, wiewohl auch andere diese bald Polymeden, bald Rhoeo, bald Arnen, bald Scarphen, bald Amphinomen u.s.f. heißen. Muncker. ad Hygin. l. c. & Cnipping. ad Ovid. Heroid. VI. v. 105. Es geben ihr einige unter dem letztern Namen auch noch den Promachus zum Sohne, den aber, Pelias mit ihr hinrichten lassen, wobey sie den Muth erwies, daß, als sie zum Tode aufgesucht wurde, sie sich zu des Pelias Feuerheerde begab; und nachdem sie den Tyrannen aufs heftigste verflucht hatte, sich das Schwert selbst durch das Herz stieß.
